Brunswick Stew Sale and Fall Fair

We made nearly 400 quarts of stew and sold most of them. We still have a few quarts left so call the church office at 804-266-5341 to order yours now. We'll have the final figures on what we made from stew sales, the silent auction, yard sale, etc. later. Thanks to everyone who helped and contributed to this annual fundraiser!

Chancel Renovation Project

We'll have a dedication service, featuring Richmond DS the Rev. Dr. Peter Moon, during worship services on Sunday, December 11. Thanks to all who have given financial help to this project; come see the results. Thanks also to everyone involved in this upgrade. And, of course, gifts are still welcome!

Brenda and Adamarye would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped with CARITAS. This was by far one of the best years we have ever had. We had plenty of help with everything from fixing meals, spending the night, doing laundry and especially your prayers.

No job was too small, everything was appreciated. We had an average of 7 adults and 18 children. The children were very helpful so far as helping the littlier children and cleaning up after themselves. They just seemed to get along well together.

We look forward to doing it again next year. What a great hands-on mission project we can do from our own church.

Food Donation Connection

Greenwood continues to help feed the hungry in Glen Allen through our distribution of free food every Friday at 6 p.m.

Food is collected from participating restaurants by church members. The November pick up rotation schedule is posted in the narthex and available online here.

Be still, and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth. - Psalm 46:10 (NRSV)

Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as you ever can.  - Attributed to Methodist Founder John Wesley

As the people of God, we are called to develop our faith through the understanding of God’s love and to be a church dedicated to prayer.

We believe that Christ is calling us to serve by being present and welcoming to all, regardless of ethnic, cultural or economic background.

God calls us to give our time, talent and monetary resources to proclaim effectively the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
